Following the sold-out success of My Fair Lady, Full House Theatre Productions returned with a staging of Fiddler on the Roof that was truly "Tradition" on a grand scale. This production made history at the Brooklyn Theatre, featuring the largest custom-built set the venue had ever seen. In a bittersweet turn of events, this staggering architectural feat became the theatre's "swan song," serving as the final production to grace its stage before its doors closed permanently following the pandemic.
Just one week before opening night, the world changed. With the COVID-19 pandemic halting live performances across the globe, our cast and crew refused to let the curtain fall. In a feat of resilience, the production was filmed in its entirety. Instead of a local opening night, Fiddler on the Roof became a digital sensation, bringing the warmth and soul of Tevye’s story into the homes of streaming audiences everywhere during a time when we needed "To Life!" more than ever. Set in 1905 in the Pale of Settlement of Imperial Russia, this nine-Tony-Award-winning masterpiece tells the story of Tevye, a father struggling to maintain his religious and cultural traditions as his three headstrong daughters choose to follow their hearts. Featuring legendary musical numbers like "Tradition," "If I Were a Rich Man," and the hauntingly beautiful "Sunrise, Sunset," our production was a cinematic celebration of family, faith, and the strength of the human spirit.
